COVID-19 Update March 27, 2020
Lake Forest College is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19). Our top priority remains the health, safety, and well-being of our campus community and visitors. As a result, we will be unable to host visitors on campus until further notice. We are excited, however, to offer virtual campus tours and virtual visits tailored to your interests. We will consistently monitor the situation and provide updates as they become available. You can find the most up-to-date information at lakeforest.edu/coronavirus.
First-year and transfer students applying for Fall 2020 who take part in a virtual visit or visit campus before August 1, 2020, will receive $2,000 annually towards their cost of attendance at the College.
Domestic students are eligible for the visit grant. International students, please contact your admissions counselor to determine your eligibility for the visit grant.

We recommend spending at least a half a day with us during the school week. Please let us know how much time you can spend with us and we will craft your virtual visit to fit your time frame. Due to high demand, we ask that you please schedule your virtual visit at least 24 hours in advance.

With our current restrictions on personal visits due to COVID-19, we now offer virtual on-site admission for transfer students daily Monday through Friday. Virtual On-site admission is designed to take the stress out of the application process and waiting for an admission decision. Schedule a time with your admission counselor to have a Skype or phone chat to get a same day admission decision. To take advantage of this opportunity, you MUST complete the Lake Forest College Transfer Application or the Transfer Common Application and submit official transcripts (college and high school) and academic letter of recommendation for review minimally two business days before your scheduled chat. We do not charge an application fee and you can submit your academic letter of recommendation and transcripts with the application or have them sent to us separately.
Unfortunately, we will not be offering group visits until further notice. Please contact our Admissions office with any questions.
We are glad to welcome groups and can provide short presentations on the college admission process and how students can ready themselves for college. In the past, we have welcomed students from local high schools, counselors, and other groups that have been interested in seeing what a selective liberal arts college in the Chicago area has to offer. We offer group tours and can provide lunch options.
If you can’t make it to campus or just want a sneak peek before your visit, check out our interactive online tour, with 360 views of spots around campus, including dorm rooms!
